2013 at Old Mission

Dear OSLC Community,

Due the current Covid-19 crisis, Easter Sunrise Service at the Old Mission has been canceled, and the church council has decided to suspend Sunday School classes, quilting, fellowship hour following Sunday morning worship, Lenten Soup Suppers, Men's Coffee fellowship and Ladies Bible Studies until further notice. We will have Sunday Worship and mid-week service during Lent, but will practice social distancing for the the time being. We will try to keep you informed of any additional changes that may be made.

Please join us in praying for for a global return to health!

From Pastor Bartle

Welcome! I have been pastor at Our Savior Lutheran since 2007 and in the Silver Valley since 1995.

I love serving this church community as their pastor. People here are loving and warm, full of diverse ideas, ready to grapple with their own questions about God and Spirit, about Jesus in history and Jesus in the Christian tradition. People here want to explore how to live an authentic life of love and care, not just for their own, but for the city, the creation, for our whole world.

That means that people at Our Savior have lots of love and lots of passions and concerns.

I think this is what a church is meant to be; a place of caring, of welcome, of hope and encouragement to keep on making a difference for good in the world. And it is just too much to try to do this alone, so we are a community. And we are encouraged and renewed by one another, and through the power that is greater than we, the power of God.
